Trip Overview

Ten Peak also known as Tent Peak, located in the Annapurna region. It is famous for its unique shape. Ten(Tharpu Chuli) Peak Climbing offers an exciting experience when you reach its top. The peak is situated in the middle of the Annapurna Sanctuary opposite to the Machhapuchhre (6997m) and is believed to be among the peaks that are easy to climb. The climb is not just renowned because of its cultural diversity that spans from to the Gurung but also offers an abundance of biodiversity.

Then, in the Tharpu Chuli Peak or Tent Climbing Peak in the morning, we'll make our journey to Poonhill from which we will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the Himalayas. Moving on, we will travel across the Gurung villages and then further on into Bamboo Dovan. Also, we will make our way towards the Machhapuchhre as well as the Annapurna base Camp. These regions showcase the incredible magnificence that is the Himalayas and offer peace and stunning trails on an extent that even the most luxurious of amenities are unable to duplicate. The escalating of Tharpu Chuli Peak, being the ultimate destination for the trek, provides excitement and exhilaration in the same moment. The mountains of the Annapurna region can be fully experienced from the peak. Travelling through villages like Ghandruk, we can witness the customs and culture of these regions. The people in this area are friendly and will provide you with the most harming welcome. The trek gives us an opportunity to view the blossoming rhododendrons and bamboo forests, cascading waterfalls throughout the trek. Day 05: Trek to Chomrong ( 1951 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 06: Trek to Dovan ( 2130 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 07: Trek to Machapuchare base camp ( 3720 m – 6 hrs.)
Day 08: Trek to Annapurna South base camp (4130m – 3 hrs.)

Day 16: Trek to Kande ( 3 hrs.) and drive to Pokhara
Day 17: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu ( 6hrs.)

Detail Itinerary

You will start your trekking journey by driving towards Pokhara. The travelling time is expected to be around 6 hours. Pokhara is most of the popular destination for tourist as it offers beautiful mountain scenery, lakes, landscape and many more. In Pokhara, you can go paragliding around the hills and view mountain from the sky or you can go boating in Phewa Lake. This place has a lot to offer so you won’t be spending your time doing nothing. You will be staying in a tourist standard hotel here.

After a joyful day in Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapul which will be approximately 2 hours ride and then trek to Tikedhunga from there. Nayapul means New Bridge and Tikedhunga means Sharp Stone in Nepali language. These are most common stops for trekkers trekking around this route. You will be staying there for a night in a lodge.

You will be starting your journey from Tikedhunga to Ghorepani which will take approximately 5 hours of time. Ghorepani is a village in Myagdi district. The main source of income for people living here is tourism. Ghorepani is also among common resting place around this area. You can see exotic view of mountains from here.

You must leave before the sun rises as you will be going to Poon Hill to see sunrise. It is a hill station from where Annapurna mountain range can be seen. The sunrise from here is absolutely beautiful which you will remember for your lifetime. After seeing sunrise, you will then leave for Tadapani where you will be staying for a night in a lodge.

After a night in Tadapani, you will leave for Chomrong. The expected time to reach there is around 6 hours. It is a village in Annapurna region and the village is spread over a hillside. You can witness stunning view of Annapurna and Macchapuchare mountain range. You will staying there for a night in a lodge.

You will leave Chomrong and go towards Dovan which is situated near Suraudi Khola. The time to reach there is expected to be around 6 hours. You can see some amazing views of mountains and landscape on your journey. You can also see temples of Hindus and Buddhists around that area.

After having breakfast in a lodge, you will then leave for Machapuchare base camp. Machapuchare means fish like tail in Nepali language. It is a camp ground in Ghandruk. Machapuchare’s height is almost 7,000 m above sea level. The mountain isn’t climbed till date because Nepal government has not given permit to climb it.

After a day in Machapuchare base camp, you will leave for Annapurna South base camp which is just 3 hours far from Machapuchare base camp. From Annapurna Base Camp you can expect to see beautiful mountains like Annapurnam Hiuchuli, Nilgiri etc. You will be staying in ABC for a night and continue your journey the day after.

You will leave for Tent Base Camp from ABC which is approximately 5 hours journey. You can expect the path being slippery and steep throughout this trek. After reaching there, you can expect to witness amazing mountain scenery. You will be staying there for a night.

After having breakfast, you will then leave for High Camp where the altitude will rise massively and the weather also becomes unpredictable. The estimated time to reach High Camp is 4 hours and you will resting there and preparing for peak climbing the following day.

It will a harsh and long day as you might have to leave even before sunrises as you will be climbing Tent Peak. The path will be difficult as it would be steep and slippery. You might have to use ropes and mountain equipment in some places. You shouldn’t waste any time because the weather in those areas can change in fraction of a second. You can watch beautiful mountain scenery if the weather condition is perfect and after conquering the peak, you will then descend to base camp and spend a night there.

After a harsh day, you will be descending further more at an elevation of 2050m above sea level. You will be trekking to Bamboo which takes approximately 6 hours of time. You will be spending your night in a lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave for Jhunu Danda which is 6 hours far. It is a located around Chhomrong area. You will descend for most part of your journey and you will reach a little bit warmer place than previous days. You might even have to cross a suspension bridge over Modi River which flows around Jhunu Danda.

You will get a day off in Jhinu Danda. You have to re-energize yourself and take some rest to refresh your mind and body.

After a rest day in Jhinu Danda, you will go to Potana which is near Pokhara city. The trekking time is expected to be around 5 hours. You can see stone paved ways which leads to beautiful village of Potana. You will be spending your night in a lodge.

You will leave Potana early in the morning after breakfast and then you trek to Kande which is about 3 hours far. Then from there you will be escorted in a private tourist vehicle to Pokhara.

After a night in wonderful Pokhara, you will leave to Kathmandu after breakfast. On the drive you can see roads going around hills which is absolutely phenomenal. The drive will last around 6 hours from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Our staff will drop from Finding Nepal will drop you to your hotel.
