Trip Overview

Lobuche East Peak, 6119m is an exhilarating and challenging method to improve your Classic Everest Base Camp Trekking with a stunning climb that is located in the middle of the Khumbu valley in Nepal. Although not at the height of Island summit (6189m) and Lobuche East Peak climbing is more difficult technically. Lobuche Peak is a genuine high altitude mountaineering adventure that requires an understanding of rock climbing and techniques for climbing ice at higher altitudes.

Lobuche East is a favorite due to the stunning views which can be seen from the summit. Lhotse Nuptse Pumori, Lobuche, Ama Dablam, Makalu and notably the stunning panorama of Mount Everest, which is not accessible at all from Island Peak. Lobuche is comprised of a few tiny summits. The name "Lobuche Peak is the name used to refer to Lobuche East, not Lobuche West, which is an entirely different and difficult summit. The most popular way that leads to Lobuche East is from the south ridge. The Lobuche East Peak Climbing begins at an Everest Base Camp Trekking that is in itself an incredible trekking trail that takes you through lush forest, Sherpa villages and monasteries with unending panoramas of Khumbu Mountains. Acclimatization is crucial to be able to climb Lobuche East Peak Climbing and climbing through the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar provides the best for preparing to go on the cautiously-paced climbing that is Lobuche East Peak

After having reached Everest Base Camp along with the famed Kala Patthar from which we have a spectacular view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and other mountains we return to Lobuche village. The path up the valley from Lobuche gets more difficult and rocky when we approach our destination, Lobuche Base Camp 4950m. After arriving at Base Camp, we clamor through rocky, stone-paved landscapes as well as snowy slopes by using fixed ropes until we climb to the ridge on the southwest slope which is where we establish High Camp, 5600m.

To get to at the top from High Camp at High Camp, we walk over a rocky slab of stone that might be covered with snow and ice. To get to the correct summit ridge, we need to climb 50m up an incline of 45 degrees on the snow wall. We employ fixed ropes. The sharp ridge of snow that leads to the summit's first point is exposed. There is a descent that might require rappelling down before making the final ascent sharply up to the peak. At the top, you can enjoy an amazing view of most magnificent mountains in the world.
