Trip Overview

Mount Everest which is also known as Sagarmatha in Nepali language. It the highest peak in the world standing 8,849m above sea level. This peak is located at Solukhumbu district and beyond this mountain is China. The height of this peak is slightly increasing year after year. The ideal time to climb this peak is either on spring or in autumn as the most of the time the weather will be clear and views will be seen clearly. Mountaineers mostly hire local Sherpa guides who are really expert in climbing these peaks but some go at their own risk and doesn’t hire Sherpa guide.

Mount Everest was first officially conquered by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953. Few people tried to climb before them but it was never official. After the official climbing many trekkers have come and conquered the peak. Tsang Yin-Hung a woman Hong Kong mountaineer hold world’s fastest ascend to Mt. Everest in just under 26 hours. Few have also climbed without oxygen cylinders. The peak is climbed over 8,306 times since it was opened for trekkers. The journey to Mount Everest starts from Lukla Airport then trekking to Namche Bazaar and to the base camp of Everest. Many glacier rivers also flows from this region to a lower region which is absolutely amazing. It is also climbed via Tibet which is the northern route but southern route from Nepal is the most popular among the trekkers. Many people even take a tour around Mount Everest via a helicopter. The temperature around this area is always in minus because of the strong, cold winds and snowing. 

The route will last about 64 days, from day 13 to 56 will be climbing period. Most mountaineers bring their own satellite phones, medical doctors and other necessary equipment. Ropes and other mountaineering equipment come in handy during the climbing period. Many climbers over their whole body because of the frost bite if any body part is exposed in the air. For the most part of the trek it will be camping in a tent.

Day 58: Trek via Lobuche (5218m) to Dingboche (4260 – 5hr)
Day 59: Trek to Tyangboche (3860m – 5hr)
Day 60: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m – 4hr)
Day 61: Trek to Lukla (2840m – 7hr)
Day 62: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 63: Rest in Kathmandu
Day 64: Transfer to the airport for final departure.
