This tour is made for those individuals who want to enjoy Mountain View closely with ease. It is a day tour to the world’s highest peak base camp. It skips long and tiring journey all the way to the end. Plus point individuals will also get bird’s eye view of world largest peak base camp, panoramic view of mountain ranges and many more. On this journey, you can see lifestyle of people living in mountain regions, yaks, oak, pine, rhododendron forests from bird’s eye view. The ride will go from Kathmandu so you will also get bird’s eye view of Boudhanath, Pashupatinath etc. You will leave from your hotel to Kathmandu where a chopper will be at your service. After getting on the chopper you will go over Kathmandu valley which will be magnificent view. You will be reaching to Lukla for your first stop. Lukla can be termed as the gateway to Mt. Everest because many who are interested in trekking Mount Everest usually take flight to Lukla. The airport itself is very dangerous because there is a steep fall at the end of the runway. People living in those areas are mostly Sherpas who helps trekkers to climb Mt. Everest. They have unique culture, tradition and believes and most of them follow Buddhist religion. Their main source of income is from tourism. From there, you will land on Kalapatthar which means black stone, it offers panoramic view of mountain ranges and after clicking some phones and witnessing the mountain ranges you will then head to Everest View Hotel where you will be having your breakfast. But most importantly, you can see panoramic view of mountains from the hotel as well. Breakfast with views of mountain will be phenomenal. After breakfast, you will go back to Lukla where refueling of the chopper will be done. After finishing refueling, you will be brought back to Kathmandu in Tribhuvan International Airport where our staff will be waiting for you to drop to your hotel.

It will a thrilling experience that you don’t want to miss, the ride can be fully chartered by one person which cost very expensive or you can share a ride with other people which will cost much less. Once you are fully chartered you can bring more 4 people along with you. The chopper model will depend on us as we hire choppers from different companies and you might the chopper on your time.

Transfer from hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport

Our staff from Finding Nepal will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you will be riding in a helicopter.

Checking at TIA

After, you reach the airport, checking of you and your belonging will be done for security purpose and you have to wait in the terminal for the final call to board the chopper.

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla

On the flight, you can see bird’s eye view of Kathmandu city, dense forest, rhododendron forest, hills etc. The flight take roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour and you will be landing in gateway to Everest. The helicopter will take a short break as the refueling process will be carried. Meanwhile, you can grab some refreshments.

Flight to Kalapatter

After refueling is complete the flight will take off to Kalapatter where you will get some time to click pictures and enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the mountains.

Flight to Everest View Hotel

When the time get over, you will be flying to Everest View Hotel for breakfast. Along with breakfast, you can also enjoy views of mountains like Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse etc.

Flight to Lukla

After having breakfast, you will then fly to Lukla, where the helicopter will take a short break and refueling will be executed.

Flight to Kathmandu

You will then fly to Kathmandu from Lukla and ending your helicopter ride to the Everest Base Camp.

Our representative will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Hotel and drop off to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle.

Points to remember

If you are more than 3 people, there will be two shuttles from Pheriche to Everest Base Camp. The chopper will only carry 3 passengers max every time because of the weight limit of the helicopter. Although you can fly 5 passengers from Kathmandu to Pheriche.

The weight limits are analyzed in order to determine the best option that can be taken, whether to fly to Everest Base Camp directly or reach Pheriche first and then flying in two shuttles.

You should plan your trip with one or more extra days so that you can continue your trip the next day if the flight gets cancelled due to bad weather conditions, especially in low-peak season time (June to August and December to Februray).

While booking a ride, please write down the total body weight of you or your group and your reserved hotel address in Kathmandu.

100% Refund will be done in the case of no flight due to bad weather conditions.
