Trip Overview

Gosainkunda Heli Tour is one of the shortest tours in Nepal. The tour will be complete   in 1hours which is very helpful to those who have limited time. This lake is located at an elevation of 4,380m above the sea level and lies in Langtang National Park of Rasuwa district. The surface of the lake extends approximately 34 acres. Most of the time in winter the lake is frozen. 

The origin of Gosainkunda is directly related to the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata as they refer to the lake to Samundra Manthan. It is believed that the lake was formed after Lord Shiva swallowed poison and in order to cool down his stinging throat he thrust his trishul into the mountains and extracted the water. That’s why the water of Gosainkunda is considered holy and pilgrims believe that drinking water from Gosainkunda lake keeps away unwanted harm to their bodies for lifetime. Every year thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and India come to visit this place. There is a huge crowd on the occasion of Janai purnima.

Transfer to TIA

Our representative from Finding Nepal will come to pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at TIA terminal airport.

Checking at TIA

After you reach there, you will be in line for checking and once that is done, you will be waiting for the chopper to board.

Fly to Gosainkunda Lake

After checking and boarding is done, you will board the chopper and fly to Gosainkunda lake. On the way, you will see forests and mountains. You can also witness a bird's eye view of Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. The chopper will stop at Gosainkunda Lake for some time so you can enjoy the view and take pictures.

Fly to Kathmandu

When the time is over you will again board the chopper and return back to Tribhuvan International Airport regional terminal.

Transfer to Hotel
