Trip Overview

Langtang Valley is situated to the North of Kathmandu Valley. This trek falls under a short  trek. The maximum altitude of this trek is almost above 4000m above sea level. It starts  from Syabrubesi and ends with the Kyanjin Gompa (3870m). Kyanjun gompa is the ancient  monastery of the place. The passes go through rhododendron forests, bamboo forests,  waterfalls, and dazzling snow-capped mountains, which leads to the Langtang National  Park. 


The mountain ranges viewed from here are Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Ri, and  Langtang Lirung. You can explore varieties of flora and fauna throughout the trek. Among  them, Himalayan pheasants, Himalayan deer, Himalayan bears, monkeys, and red panda  are some protected animals. You can also view yak pastures and local cheese factories that  serve organic cheese. The local people here are mostly Tamangs and Sherpas. They follow  Buddhism. They have their own unique culture, tradition, and language. They are very  humble and offer warm hospitality, which melts the heart of the visitors. You can find  various lodge and teahouses. So, the trekkers do not need to worry about their food and  stay. Due to the natural beauty and social cultures and traditions, this trek is gaining more  popularity than before. The number of trekkers visiting this place is drastically increasing  every year. And also, it is a short trek and does not include high altitude.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by bus (1462 M, 5-6 hours)
Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama hotel. (2500 m, 6-7 hours)
Day 05: Trek From Lama hotel to Langtang. (3307 M, 5-6 hours)
Day 06: Trek from Langtang to Kyanjing ( 3798 M, 3-4 Hours)
Day 07: Trek to the Lama hotel(2250 M, 7-8 Hours) via Kyanjig Ri (4000 M)
Day 08: Lama hotel to Syabrubesi (1460 m and Lama Hotel 2470 m 4 hours)
Day 09: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by bus
Day 10: Final Departure

Detail Itinerary

After your arrival in Kathmandu, at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Finding Nepal Treks will pick up and welcomes you to a beautiful Himalayan country Nepal. You will be transferred to the hotel in an Air-conditioned Tourist vehicle. After completing all the check-in process, you will be briefed about your trip, and your documents are collected for all the required permits. Overnight stay in the hotel.

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will go sightseeing around UNESCO World heritage sites. We will start our city tour from Bouddha Nath Stupa, which is also known as the largest stupa in the world. After having soulful time in buddha, we will head towards next UNESCO World heritage sites Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is the holy temple of Hindus around the globe. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, also known as adhiyogi. After completing sightseeing at Pashupatinath, we will again head towards the next UNESCO World heritage site Swayambhunath. Swyambhunath Stupa is still the holy place for Buddhist religion and Hindu religion people. Both Buddhist and Hindu communities people worship each other gods gracefully inside Nepal. After completing sightseeing, we will head back to the hotel and prepare for the upcoming trek. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Today is your day three, and we will start our trek. After having breakfast at the hotel, we will take a regular passenger bus to Syabrubesi from New bus park Kathmandu. Our bus ride takes around 6 – 7 hours to reach Syabrubesi. Overnight stay at Syabrubesi in the hotel.

Today is your day four, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast. After leaving the hotel for the trek, we will cross the Bhote Koshi river, which flows down from Tibet. After crossing the river, we will follow the path which gradually climbs uphill. After walking for 30 minutes, we will see the Langtang river and follow the way along the bank of the Langtang River. We will take our lunch at a place called bamboo and take rest for some time. After rest and lunch, we will continue the uphill climb to lama hotel. After an hour walk through trails, we will cross the Langtang River through the suspension bridge. We will not see any good view while today’s trek. After walking for 6-7 hours, we will reach a Lama hotel and Overnight Stay at the Lama Hotel.

Today is your day five, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at Lama hotel. After leaving the hotel, we will step forward and follow the path along the bank of the river until a place called Thangshep, where we will have our lunch and take some rest. After taking some rest and lunch, we will move forward, and our trails still climb uphill in Stoney steps. After walking for one hour, We will reach in Gumba danda. We will take some rest and continue our actions. After walking for almost 1 hour, we reach Langtang Valley. Overnight stay at Langtang In the hotel

Today is your day six, and we will start our trek right after having our breakfast at the hotel in Langtang. Right after starting the trek, we will go through straight uphill for 20 minutes and reach to Mundu Village. Way after mundu village easy for today. The valley widens more further and offers us beautiful views. This whole place is famous for Yak farming and cheese production. Dramatic peaks on all sides surround the valley. Now we will experience rocky steps uphill for around 20 minutes and reach Kyanjing where we will have our lunch and take rest. Overnight stay at Kyanjing in the Tea house.

Today is your day seven, and we will start the trek today early at 5 AM. and climb to Kyanjig Ri peak for Sunrise. It takes 2 hours to summit Kyanjing Ri. After spending a wonderful time at the summit, we will head back to today’s destination. We return to Kyanjing and take our breakfast. After breakfast, we return to Lama hotel via the same path to Kyanjing. On our return back we take our lunch at Ghoda Tabala and head back to Lama hotel. Today we will walk for almost 7-8 hours and reach The Lama hotel. Overnight stay At the Lama hotel.
